Another One Is Leaving!!
This Wednesday, another young man in our Victory Baptist Training Center, will leave for Chile, South America, to spend 6 months learning and training on the mission field. Travis has been such a blessing to not only our church, youth ministry, audio/visual ministry, and a host of other areas, but to me personally. Travis has such a kind spirit and has always been willing to assist in any and every thing! Travis has also served on our staff and showed such a servant’s heart. One of the great things about Travis, is he is always willing to try and learn something new. He is the one who really help get the visual aspects of our services in line…from streaming our services, to in-service visual needs.
In addition to these things, he has actively been involved in training/mentoring several other young people whom he either picked up on his bus route or from the youth ministry. Each Sunday, he also held an afternoon Bible study for several teens. He has been extremely instrumental in the renewal of our “War at Victory” events as well as our annual Mission Conferences, Children’s Crusades and Youth All-Nighters. As you can tell, he will leave a temporary “hole” in our ministry.
Travis, I sure am proud of you and am grateful to see what God is doing in your life! And like I said last night, “I sure do love you as well!” Travis’ parents, Esther and Lamar Birge have been faithful youth workers and have served as deacon/wife for many years. I know they are very proud of their son, and rightfully so!
Perhaps you’ve already been a financial blessing to Travis, but if not, you can still do so by sending a check to Victory Baptist Church, 88 Brand Road, Loganville, GA, 30052 designated “Travis Birge”. I know he could use it and will appreciate it.
Please pray for Travis, his flight leaves Wednesday evening around 9PM. You can keep up with his trip details, download a prayer card, read his blog as well as donate, by visiting his website, travisbirge.victorybc.org (You should go there right now, it looks awesome!)
