Burkina Faso Trip-Day 1

On Wednesday, 1/11/2012, around 6:05, Jim McAuliffe and myself flew out of the Atlanta airport on our way to Africa, in particular, the country of Burkina Faso, where Keith and Rebecca Shumaker and their family faithfully serve as missionaries. After two stops, Paris and Niamey, Niger, we arrived in B.F, 25 minutes shy of 24 hours. Our seats were very comfortable and we had no problems, yet after 16 hours of flying, we were thankful to arrive and praised the Lord for our safety.

We were met at the airport by Bro. Shumaker, as well as by Pastor Austin Gardner and Missionary Chris Feis, which arrived a couple days earlier. We ate supper at a local restaurant, spent a few moments with the Shumaker family, then got some much needed rest.

As we pillowed our heads, Jim and I knew we were on the verge of something very special, as the next day would prove.
