Missionary Milestone (Chris Van Horn Family)
This Saturday at 1:30 PM, some very special friends of ours as well as missionaries we support at Victory, are leaving the Atlanta Airport to begin their lives in The Gambia, West Africa. Chris and Rachel Van Horn are incredible examples of servants. They have always been so kind and humble, as well as obedient to how the Lord leads them. Over the last couple of years, we have been privileged to get to know them on a very personal level, with our children staying at one another’s houses for days at a time.
Their parents, Daryl and Sue Van Horn, members of our church, have every right to be proud of their children and grandchildren, realizing that the day they’ve all been praying for has finally arrived. Never having been in their shoes, I can’t imagine the roller coaster of emotions they must be experiencing right now. I do know this, however, The Gambia is gaining a great family, more souls will be saved, churches planted and God’s kingdom expanded as a result of Chris and Rachel.
I’d like to thank the Lord for getting the opportunity to know them, to have spent time with them and to love them the way our family has. So…Chris, Rachel, Christopher, Matthew and Hunter, on behalf of Victory Baptist Church and the Lawrence Family, we love you, we will miss you and we will pray for you. May God bless you as this milestone is being passed!
